The beginning
In the studio came again and again children and young people who said that they would like to learn to paint like the artist. In particular, the picture of the naughty girl Gabriela Rosas painted at the age of 12 motivates the younger ones to try it as well.
So it was obvious that a concept was soon developed for the children and the painting lessons began.
In summer 2018 a drawing course for children and adolescents aged 8 to 16 took place twice a week for 2 hours each as a model experiment. Without big advertising the experiences were very positive.

The Prehistory - Experiences of Gabriela Rosas
Gabriela Rosas began at the age of 8 with the systematic drawing and painting lessons in the painting school "El Greco" in Mexico City. Two to four times a week she was taken to the painting school by her father, where she learned the basics of drawing in pencil.
After about 3 years, she completed her education and gained further 3 years experience in painting, working in the workshop of Manuel Duran in the accord and painting acrylic and oil paintings for sale in the department store chain "Liverpool".

Gabriela Rosas was admitted to study Visual Art at the Escuela National de Artes Plásticas UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), but at that time her studies were too remote, so that she finished her studies in order to study music. The academy Rosa Colibrí offers further education as well as drawing and painting classes.
Not all appointments need to be noticed.

- Painting for children aged 4 to 8 years
- Drawing and painting classes: children and adolescents from 8 to 16 years
- Drawing and painting classes: Adults and adolescents over 16 years
The drawing and painting courses at the Atelier Rosa Colibri are designed as regular courses twice a week for a double hour each over a period of 2 years.
The entrance into the courses is possible at any time individually, because in small groups (max 12 young people, max 10 adults) one works and individually the tasks are adapted on the basis of the abilities and the progress of each individual learner.
We would like to welcome further interested children, adolescents and adults in order to expand the current group and to offer even more appointments
